Jarrell Plantation

Jarrell Plantation Historic Site, located in Jones County, represents the change from an agricultural to an industrial-based economy. The cotton plantation dates back to 1847 and was owned by a single family for more than 140 years. A museum and film detail the home’s historical importance. Visitors can see much of the original furnishings, explore the history trail, and enjoy the small animal farm. There is also a picnic area.
