The Friendship Forest Wildlife Sanctuary in Clarkston is a 18.5 acre park used for wetland protection and passive outdoor recreational activities including hiking, running, jogging, biking, and walking.
Mason Mill Park contains a 120-acre forest with a network of some of trails including the South Peachtree Creek Trail which is a multi-use boardwalk and paved route that connects Mason Mill Park, Medlock Park, and Emory University.
Situated at the dead-end of Clark Drive, William McKinley Peters Park (Peters Park) features a playground and workout area, open-air pavilion with picnic tables, grilling stations, a basketball court, and sports field. The park is bordered by the South Fork of Peachtree Creek on its western edge.

Walking trails are not well-marked and visitors may easily get lost. A ramp is located off the pavilion that leads to the path around the lake, but the path itself is narrow and gravel.
